Located on a hill on the northern border of Lebanon, Menjez is a charming village with rich history and archeological sites. It is a water-rich region, with very fertile fields and a significant potential for agricultural production.

To protect the remaining agricultural land and curb the desertification phenomenon hitting the village, a group of farmers decided to create the Menjez Cooperative.

FTL chose Menjez as a strategic partner and established it in August 2013 as the first Fair Trade Town in Lebanon and the Middle East. FTL further supports this cooperative by selling their carob molasses and pulses products.
