  • US Middle East Partnership Initiative

    The U.S. Middle-East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) of the State Department offers assistance, training, and support to groups and individuals striving to bring positive change in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). MEPI works in 18 countries and territories, partnering with civil society organizations (CSOs), community leaders, youth and women activists, and private sector groups to advance their reform efforts. MEPI’s approach is bottom-up and grassroots, responding directly to local interests and needs.

  • UN Women

    The UN Women is the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. Created in July 2010, it aims to accelerate the United Nations’ goals on gender equality and the empowerment of women. The main roles of UN Women are: to support inter-governmental bodies in their formulation of policies, global standards and norms, help Member States implement these standards and lead and coordinate the UN system’s work on gender equality as well as promote accountability, particularly through regular monitoring of system-wide.

  • Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform

    The Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR) operates within a comprehensive vision aiming at a future, for the short and long run, when Lebanon, with its rich diversity, will have built on that resource in the promotion of its national identity. It will have regained its standing in the region and abroad in the pursuit of peace, social development, and economic prosperity.

  • Drosos Foundation

    Active in Lebanon since 2006, the Drosos Foundation devotes its work and efforts on the following severely disadvantaged groups: (former) inmates, single mothers or female victims of violence, neglected young people. Through its partnership with Fair Trade Lebanon, the Drosos Foundation aims to provide income-generating activities for disadvantaged rural populations in the field of food processing. The foundation also works with public authorities and local stakeholders to recognize Fair Trade as a tool for reinforcing local sustainable development.

  • SIDI – International Solidarity for Development and Investment

    The SIDI, International Solidarity for Development and Investment is a French social investor, created in 1983 by a development NGO, the CCFD – Terre Solidaire.
    The SIDI contributes to promoting a more social economy, by the strengthening of individual and collective economic activities, initiated locally by its own partners, in Southern and Eastern countries.
    In Lebanon, the SIDI is a historic partner of Fair Trade Lebanon, and a shareholder of its affiliate company Fair Trade & Tourism Lebanon.

  • Agence Française de Développement (AFD)

    Agence Française de Développement (AFD) is a public financial institution working since 70 years in fighting against poverty and favoring economic development in Southern countries and overseas, with a network of 71 agencies and representative offices worldwide.
    The AFD group works in Lebanon since 1999 with the aim of supporting the stabilization of the country and researching for a better utilization of its growth potential.

  • Institut Français du Liban (IFL)

    A service by the French Embassy in Lebanon, the IFL is a partner of Lebanese institutions, in all domains related to cooperation and cultural activities.
    Within the framework of a development fund granted to the Lebanese civil society, the French Institute supports Fair Trade Lebanon since several years in projects of support and development in two production unites in Southern Lebanon.
    The Institute aims to support projects implementing income-generating activities and, particularly, production and agricultural processing activities.

  • Comité Catholique contre la Faim et pour le Développement - Terre Solidaire

    Founded in 1964, the CCFD - Terre Solidaire (Catholic committee against hunger and for development) acts on structural causes of hunger, poverty and inequalities. The establishment of a more just economy is at the heart of the committee's action while engaging with key actors in France and supporting partners worldwide, among them is Fair Trade Lebanon.
    CCFD - Terre Solidaire is strongly engaged in the Fair Trade approach promoted as a real lever for local development.
